Percy Hennell
These images don’t look like they could have been taken in World War 2 (partly because they are in colour), but they were. Percy Hennell developed a colour photography process that was suitable for recording war wounds and the surgeries that ensued. His images were used for the book ‘Principles and the Art of Plastic Surgery’- not exactly every photographers dream for their work, but the images are nonetheless really interesting and very powerful.
